I'll be attending the Shot Show in about a week. Personally I'm looking forward to expressing to the Kimber folks how happy I am with my Solo which has performed flawlessly for me for almost 1,000 rounds. Not one single problem. I want to also thank them for their helpful and responsive CS folks (in Montana or some other western state, not NY). I (like a DA) lost my bushing wrench for my Custom CDP and they sent me another one free of charge.

Anyway, there are some of us out there who have had really great experiences with Kimber and I waned to let them know.

On another subject, I'm really looking forward to attending the 3Gun Nation "Rumble on the Range"!

I'm well aware, as I'm sure Kimber is, of the issues many Solo owners have had. I have discussed some of these issues with Kimber's CS people. However I am a pretty simple guy and had no real reason to figure out how many different types of rounds I could feed into this little gun. From the day I bought it I have shot only Hornady Critical Duty135 gr +P FlexLock. I have never had an issue shooting these in my Solo and if the round penetrates and expands as well as it has in tests I've read I'm just going to continue to shoot them and gain more confidence in the Solo and the Hornady round with every magazine. For me there is no reason to change or experiment. I bought the pistol for a daily carry and I have great confidence in it.

I carry the Solo with 9 rounds of Critical Duty in it everywhere I legally can and I literally often forget it's there. The pistol goes into my old Uncle Mike's Sidekick Size 3 (they now call them "Inside-the-Pocket" holsters). The holster then goes into my pants whenever I leave the house. For me it's the perfect holster for the Solo because the weapon is very easy to pull out and a side benefit is the holster is soft and protects the gun's finish.

I also will be attending the shot show, and visiting Kimber. Yes I will be expressing my views on the Solo. ( they currently have mine for repair ) Hopefully they will fix it right the first time and I won't have to return it a couple more times like others have posted.

While you're there, ask them if we have to change the re-coil spring every 1000 rounds why they don't keep them in stock on a regular basis...
