My wife's first pistol was a CCP too. Based on Walther's general reputation, it's probably the only bad gun they made. Slide racks like butter, trigger feels nice, shoots flat as the Bonneville, ergonomics are phenomenal, but the only defensive round it can digest are ARX. Apparently it's a CCP thing, should have done some research first. Whatever, it runs Ruger ARX like a champ and we have a bunch of them, so it's reliable enough.
She wants a Micro Sapphire. I'm a little surprised she doesn't have one yet, apparently I need to work on my KT style enabling.
I own two Walther CCP M2+, one in 380 and one in 9mm. No issues with either. I haven't found any ammo that has any functional issues with either gun. There is one ammo that both like as far as accuracy. 380 likes my self defense loads using a 90gr hp from Everglades. The 9 mm likes my self defense loads using a 124gr hp from Hornady. But they both function flawlessly with anything I feed them.

Lucky you. Perhaps they eventually fixed the issues, this one was from the first run of the model. Everywhere I could find anyone talking about it online they were all having the same issues. I've barely thought about it in years, but if you don't believe me you're welcome to add this one to your collection. Only a couple hundred rounds through it, tops. Never carried. Third one's a charm, ya know...

The CCP wasn't one of Walthers better efforts.
It's one of the few that won't make it into my wife's collection.

Nope that is why I waited until they corrected the issues.

It's too bad, it's super accurate and shoots beautifully... once. You better make the first shot count, because the second one is probably going to jamb on the ramp or- if you get a second shot- that one's gonna stovepipe. So it goes. It's annoying to clean anyway, I'm glad she doesn't want to shoot it 😁

The PDP is the answer.
Best trigger in any striker fired gun. Period.
Reliable as a wrench.
Shoots like a laser.
Optics ready.
Slide is a bit blocky, but damn it's a fine pistol.
It's everything that Glocks pretend to be.

Wife has one. She has the compact.
It's a fantastic gun.
I highly recommend it.
The trigger is set back slightly, and the grip is skinnier to accommodate smaller hands.
If you buy one between 3/13 /23 to 4/17/23 you can get a free Ameriglo red dot optic from Walther, shipped with the plate.
It's not the best optic, but it's free, and it works.

You can buy it and then enter some sort of code to get Walther to send the red dot to you or how does that work? I know Kimber did that with magazines a while back.

Request the form online and send it in.
Walther is quick to ship.
They ship the plates free on request for any optic ready model (usually you tell them the footprint).
Our plate for the Q5 Match arrived in 9 days.
