Yes. I noticed that Streamlight has more than one version of the TLR-6 so I was wondering if their "Micro" version would also fit the Ultra Carry II.
I may just have to buy one and see. Couldn't find any pics of that particular combo via google. Or perhaps I'll just be patient and wait to call Streamlight on Monday.

JMHO but I have a personal problem with a light attached to a gun. Imagine being awakened in the middle of the night by a noise. You grab your gun to investigate, you go into another room and find yourself pointing your .45, 9mm, .380 or whatever at your grandchild that was spending the night at your house. That's just one of a ton of examples, you don't ever point a gun at anything that you're not willing to completely destroy.

The caveat to that is, what happens if you need to pull a loved one out of harms way or if injured and still keeping armed?
This argument comes up quite often.

It's just big toys for big boys. :D

I know there's lots of tactical reasons to (and not to) use a light and/or laser.

But I just think they're neat-o. It's not a replacement for training/awareness...but then, of course, neither is a gun.

Don't get me wrong, I believe in having a flashlight. I have a small 1000 lumen flashlight sitting on my nightstand, I just don't believe in attaching them to the gun. The light I have can be used as a striking weapon, the sharpened bezels on the front and back will cut and tear.

I recently took the NRA In Home Protection class and they did not recommend using a laser or light for an in the dark attack, only because it gives the perp a better target. They preferred the flash light which you would hold away from your body but then you are one handing your pistol. Whatever works for you.

I'm flashlight separate to and when I can remember to take it to the range with me. If I am alone at the range which is pretty often I turn off the range lights and shoot one handed with the flashlight, strong and weak hand. I have the TLR-1 that's pretty bright.
