Okay guys & gals! How does this price stack up? NIB Wilson Combat ACP-CP-9. A few years ago I wouldn’t have dreamed of dropping over a grand on a pistol. Now that I’ve done it about three times, the ceiling just keeps going up!

I just wanted to show you something in the ballpark of the WC. They have this model in a few variations. You’re in a new price range so why not look at everything you can before spending that kind of money.

I would consider it an entry level WC. That’s not a bad thing.

There’s one with black grips that I like a lot, the stainless is nice looking too. In the morning I’ll look around for other models in that price range.

If I was going to buy the Ed Brown KC-9 I would get the Stainless model. It is beautiful, feels awesome in my hand. It does have an external extractor but I think it would be fine.
I really hate myself for not buying one when I had the chance. Pre-Covid my favorite shop had a stainless KC9 and I held it for a long time, it looked and felt awesome. They had it priced about $1,800 so with Tennessee tax it would have been right at 2K. I told Travis I would think about it and I did…went back the next morning to buy it. Yep, it was GONE! I almost teared up. Now most I see are well over 2K and I still don’t own a EB…

stockmater, as JC45 opined, you're now into premium handgun territory, so look about in that price range before jumping. I've longed for a WC for many years, even though I've got more guns than I can shoot now. So with that longing and lack of logic in mind, I plunked down my cash for a WC SFX9, their new solid body 1911 double stack 3" carry gun. Really don't "need" it, but who cares, right? I've got 1911's coming out my ears so to speak, but hey, we're gunny guys here, right?

So if I'm in waiting for my WC to arrive sometime next month, you "need" one too so we can further the brotherhood. (My wife saw my type that and sez we're a bunch of kids that never grew up. Girls, what do they know?)

So be sure to let the crew here know what you decide to spring for. You know we want to help and encourage you if you're having difficulty making that decision. Arland "helps" us in this regard all the time.

Know what you mean! “NEED” has nothing to do with it!!!🤣. Wasn’t looking for anything in that price range. Just happened to be in LGS the other day and heard a low, soft whisper calling out my name. When I went back today and handled it, it started kinda shouting! Got me to thinkin!!! And all of a sudden, the stainless Raptor I’ve been thinking about doesn’t seem very expensive!🤔😁. Then Arland comes along with THAT pic!!! Ahhh, so many fine guns, so little time (and $$$)!! By the way, Rick, did you get your replacement spring plug?

Top and middle are .45acp. Bottom one with black grips is 9mm.

In the mid $2000 range it looks like the WC ACP and the EB EVO KC9-G4 are the nicest of the bunch.

If you’re looking at going into the mid $3000 the EB Kobra Carry, WC SFX-9 (3.25,4,5”) and the WC EDC X9 (3.25,4,5”) and very nice choices. Both WC’s are double stacked mags.

I wish the EB EVO came in 45acp.
