Can't wait to hear your impressions. I am predicting a big smile for tomorrow!I'm keeping mine. Headed to the range tomorrow to shoot it for the first time.
Are they owner operated gun shops? Would a little polite haggling be inappropriate? Because Kimbers are high end guns, a 10% markup is usually north of 100. and a satisfied customer is a loyal customer and that means ammo, holsters, magazines, etc ...All 3 dealers in my town charge msrp unfortunately, and none of them have one in stock![]()
gunbroker.com can fix that. Lots of dealers selling factory new in box guns at well less than MSRP. Generally no sales tax assuming you live in a different state than the dealer. Many times no shipping. Usually the FFL transfer fee your LGS will charge is less than the sales tax you would pay.All 3 dealers in my town charge msrp unfortunately, and none of them have one in stock![]()

Bought all my Kimbers from Fin Feather Fur (userid honker 204 on gunbroker) out of Ohio. All shipped the same day I bought them. No tax and free shipping.
That's pretty good in my opinion! Our LGS sells Kimbers at MSRP - $200. I consider that a pretty good deal. Better than 10% off most of the time.
