This is a really neat site- WWI in photos. This is the 100th Anniversary of the start of the war. http://www.theatlantic.com/static/infocus/wwi/

Here's something interesting- I have a US Model of 1917 rifle. I was able to trace the rifle to Camp McClellan in Anniston, Alabama, at the same time my grandfather was in training there as a doughboy. I always thought it would be cool to think he might have used the same rifle, but I'll never know.

That's a real cool site, it's going to take some time to go through all those pictures but time is one thing I'm not short of.

My father chased Rommel around South Africa and my father in law spent two years in a German prison camp. Bless them both. Freedom isn't free!

Absolutely agree. My father was a Marine - recon. His father was a POW in Japan for 4 years. Bless all our soldiers, past, present & future.
