Anybody see in person the new cds9. I called Kimber and they said they are shipping and not behind. For the hell of it I ordered one at my FFL. They said be ready to wait about a year. I could always cancel my order anytime if I change my mind.

Some/most FFLs get the majority of their inventory from a couple distributors, not directly from a hundred different manufacturers.
The distributors get the stock first, then eventually the FFLs get some.
I rarely get new stuff early and I'm close very friends with my LGS.
Be patient.
You don't want to pay money to beta test a new design.
Was the price reasonable. They are pretty high on Gun Broker. I called Kimber who said they are shipping orders and not behind. Ive had a order in for about five weeks now.
The New Kimber CDS9 is very impressive looking firearm. I have checked a few times on availability and actually found one in TX, but as soon as I looked furhter it was sold.
I will wait to see if my ffl gets one that I ordered. I will not pay gun broker prices. I will continue to carry my ultra cdp in 45 or my other in 9. It looks loike a interesting new gun [ cds9]. Tired of messing with my striker guns.
Kimber should sell to the people and ship to ffl. I bought a Bull sas ultra that way. Gun broker was way to high. I called Bull in Florida and was told that they will take my order over the phone with credit card and ship to ffl.
BUL is different.
BUL has their own "distributorship" in FL.
They are all built and imported from Israel.
Kimber doesn't want to compete with the people buying bulk guns, buy selling to their customers.
I love BUL, BTW. I have three 1911s and a Cleaver.
They make fantastic firearms, with a lean towards performance.
I was an SAS, but I want to hold it before I buy it.
If you lived by me Id let you shoot the Bul sas. I belong to a private gun club but you are allowed to bring a guest. As far as posting a picture someone would have to walk me through it or send me a email and id send it.
Sweet!
The only double stack 2011s I have so far are the Kds9c and a Stealth arms Platypus.
I've shot a few Staccatos and was looking at one when I bought my Shadow2 Compact.
I really would like a BUL SAS.
I like the 3.25" ultralight. 😁
Update; I have 500 rounds through my cds9 and not a single problem. The 507k dot is right on and holding zero. Ive been shooting my reloads and blazer brass. Both 124 grain heads. For my reloads ive been using 4.2 gains of w-231 powder with xtreme 124 grain non expanding hollow points. Next I bought the leather itw holster from Kimber which is made from Southern Trapper. The metal belt clip was really lose and would not tighten any more without stripping the threads. I e mailed Southern Trapper and they got right back to me and express mailed a assortment of screws washers and clip. The holster itself is a great looking and comfortable so its a great option for those looking. As I shoot it more I will update.
malibu, you could have done that with the "edit" feature on your post #30 instead of another post correcting your first one. No biggie, just a suggestion for the future if ever needed.
Carry on.....
The CDS9 has a 15-round mag capacity, great for competition shooting or self defense. Kimber CDS9 pistol is our choice for any concealed carry 1911 owner.
If you use handgun hero, they have a system that inventories the Internet and gives you a link to a gun shop that has them in stock. That’s how I bought mine for under a G.
