I got the leather itw holster from Kimber since that is the only one available. Its a nice holster made by Southern trapper. On their website its listed for 185.00. Kimber is cheaper and it fits great. They do list some kydex holsters [ yuk ] on kimbers website. I had to put the gun in a plastic bag for the day to stretch it a bit. The metal belt clip could have been better. Just fiqured Id share with you guys.

It seems to fit well enough in all my 1911 holsters. A little loose on the slide but trigger guard locks in perfectly so seems secure.

Would be nice to have one that fits with a non surefire light. Those are just too expensive for me and don’t see the value vs the other options. For me I have to have leather on the outside so any ‘hybrid’ like the crossbreed super tuck or urban carry lock leather are my gotos. Only all kydex holsters I use are the Vedder pocket lockers. Personally I find all kydex IWB holsters extremely uncomfortable.

The website lists two leather holsters. One with surefire light and one without. Both are cut for red dots.
yeah, seen that but the only light option is the surefire which personally I find overpriced. I had one I got on a used deal and just wasn’t impressed considering its price point.

I'm envious. My Micro 9 is consistently 7.3 lbs and is building a painful callous on my finger. Speced at 7 lbs by Kimber, I'm mystified how you got such good triggers. Mine is going to MCarbo for the full treatment.
I sent my Micro 9 to MCarbo. They did a fine job. I hated the stock trigger. Mine breaks about 4# and is very clean. I had them polish it up and replace springs.

What did that cost if you don't mind me asking?

Yesterday I handled the Kimber CDS9 at Scheels, wasn’t aware it just came out a few months ago, didn’t get the memo, lol! Anyway, went back today to drool over it but was strong and didn’t buy yet. It’s $1085 with taxes, price isn’t a concern, it’s a quality gun. Kinda wrestling with moving up size wise from my BG 2.0 which I’ve been carrying for 5 months. Both will get the job done if I’m ever in an unfortunate situation but I’m sure the CDS9 would be more fun at the range at my normal 15 yard practice distance accuracy wise.

Totally get it. I ran to the gun store and throw money across the counter when the BG 2.0 came out and haven’t been disappointed. During the summer it’s in my pocket 80% of the time.

I carry the CDS9 when wearing a belt and an IWB. I float with a few 1911s as they all fit the same holster and also my R7CC in a different holster obviously. I know rotating carry guns isn’t really the smartest thing to do but aside from the BG and R7 they all have basically the same controls and I practice a lot with all.

I think the biggest thing past ballistics obviously is the red dot. I’m very accurate with the BG at 25 yards though so there’s that. The struggle is real.

No concern with ballistics, think 380 is very capable. Impressed with your 25 yards, I’m happy with my 15 yard torso grouping with my blurred whopper vision sight picture, lol!

yeah I don’t disagree. .380 self defense rounds are definitely capable. I practice at 25 yards at my range so that’s improved my distance accuracy.

All that said you need the CDS9 in your life. 😂 you know you do.

I assume with the CDS9, your range might be comfortable at 35 yards?
I need to try that sometime. Our pistol bays only go to 25 yards. That said I hit 8 inch steel plates mainly and torso plates. I would imagine hitting the torso plates wouldn’t be too difficult at even 50 yards but haven’t actually tried that. We have 50 yard targets at the rifle ranges so will try it when it warms up some.

My outdoor range, pistol side is fixed at 15 yards. Most times I’ll arrive early and place my targets on first row of rifle section set at 35 yards until folks some up, lol - no range masters during the week.

Price wise, looks like my local Scheels is it, internet prices higher.
